The Journey of Noob Going Pro continues…

It’s been awhile since we­­­­­ wrote a blog. All of us here at Noob Going Pro lost our regular day jobs. You know, we only did our streaming and video game recording as a part-time thing in the hopes of making a breakthrough into the video game creators streaming world.

You all might be wondering where did these guys work? And what happened? Well we all worked in a company that helped people get affordable prescription medications. To those who are still stuck guessing, well it was a Canadian online pharmacy. After 20 years of doing business, the company closed its doors last Friday, July 13th, 2018. So what happens to us now? We all need to look for new jobs or even change careers. That’s our reality, and some of us have moved on, and already accepted new jobs.

What happens to Noob Going Pro? Well nothing really, we continue along the same path we set. That is showing individuals out there the journey of group of noobs who need to put food on the table for their families.  Unfortunately, we don’t live at home with our parents who can maintain us. We know, and you will see, that it’s not going to be easy. We believe we have the right attitude to get up there. We might not have the skill set as pros just yet, but with time and lots of practice, we can become pros and create awesome content for our viewers and followers. We hope you stick around to see this journey continue.

It has not been an easy journey so far. We have seen the ups and downs of this industry of streaming video games. Wait and see what is coming next.

The Journey of finding a Platform.

As our journey continues, we discovered that finding our platform to stream on was not an easy task, as there are so many platforms to choose from. Although the quality of the videos is not the greatest, the decision was made to stream on www.twitch.tv. So, after watching many tutorials on YouTube, our Twitch account was finally set-up. Now we can finally show off our skills on the internet. Our first accomplishment in the right direction was over… or is it?

We knew going into this it would not be an easy road as there are many people out there dreaming on becoming a famous Twitch streamer or YouTube creator. It really didn’t matter if there were no viewers watching us. We felt excited, knowing that someone could watch us any time. With a little patience and perseverance and lots of hours streaming, we set a goal of having at least 5 viewers watch us play.

And here we are now, working tirelessly, doing research and watching tutorials to make ourselves better. We are still in the process of creating a brand that people can relate to and make them feel like, “I wanna be a part of this cool noob group!” We have gone this far, and there is no turning back. There’s no other option for us anyways but to see it through to the end.

The Journey of a Noob Going Pro.

First off, thank you for taking the time to visit our website. 

Now, let’s begin the road of novice going into the professional video gaming industry. Might sound like it’s a fun job, eh? Let me tell you – it is a fun job, but like anything else, it does require time and dedication at becoming better. Majority of us here at NGP still need to work our regular jobs, while our dream job is to become professional video gamers.

Do you need a lot of things to achieve this? Yes and no. What you need is the basics – TV, gaming console if you’re a console gamer, or personal computer if you are a PC gamer. Do you need all the flashy gear? No, save your money as those items will become part of your arsenal later in your career. For now, enjoy practicing and getting your basics down on playing video games. For example, think of a runner running a marathon: just because he/she wears the most expensive shoes on the field won't make him/her a better runner. It might give a comfortable run, but it won't make him/her the fastest runner. For now, train hard and work hard to get better at the game you want to play professionally in. It can be Destiny 2, Call of Duty WW2, and League of Legends just to name a few. 

As you read through our journey to becoming professional video game players and streamers, you will see our ups and downs, our struggles and victories as regular average people.
